About

Mozarthaus Vienna in Domgasse is the only remaining apartment in Vienna where Mozart lived. He spent two and a half years here, from 1784 to 1787. At that time, Mozart was already well-known, mingled in social circles, and lived quite lavishly, so his apartment on the first floor includes four extravagantly lavish rooms, two smaller ones and a kitchen. He lived here longer than anywhere else, so it's quite possible that these were the best years of his life. It was here that the composer wrote his famous opera "The Marriage of Figaro" among many other musical works. Visiting the Mozart House museum offers everyone a chance to get closer to the life of this outstanding and somewhat mysterious figure.
