Very eclectic menu and great intimate atmosphere. Hard to make a reservation, so plan in advance (took us a few months to finally land a date). We ordered the Juniper Tortelloni with duck, and Corn Meal Sachetti with Huitlacoche to share with two starter dishes: the Halibut crudo was great also. Highly recommend.

I came with family for a birthday celebration. we did not do the tasting menu. the summer squash was good but it is literally JUST squash and some jam. The pizza was also really good but it actually got amazing with the pastas. the pastas were EXCELLENT. we did the basil and the tagilottele. If i were to come back, I would get a different appetiser and maybe skip the pizza. even if you order a la carte, the servers will bring out everything like it is a tasting menu in a specific order. we thought all the servers were kind except one who was noticeably passive aggressive and while they would smile to other customers, they were very cold to us for seemingly no reason. when we called them over to ask for more wine at one point, they came 2-3 minutes later and simply stood next to the table looking at us dead in the eye waiting for a response which was extremely confusing and uncomfortable. other than this poor experience, the food and other servers were excellent.

Good, not blown away. Servers were attentive and helpful. Pasta shapes were creative and al dente, but not as chewy as I prefer. Haddock crudo were fresh and delicate, though a bit oily. Duck pasta had a BBQ note that overpowered the dish. Scarpinocc were interesting but monotonous. Pork sugo was the standout - only dish I’d order again. Chocolate dessert nailed the balance of dark chocolate and salt, worth a repeat. Ambience is low-lit and romantic, but open windows made it chilly, classic SF. On par with other good (and often cheaper) Italian spots like Tailor’s Son. I’d return, but wouldn’t rush. Attire: smart casual. Great for a date. Pro tip: get the bread to soak up the sauce.
