About

The majestic and beautiful historic landmark of Prague, known as the Church of Our Lady before TÝn, also referred to as TÝn Church, was built over several centuries from 1339 to 1551.

Today, it is an active Gothic church with elements of Baroque, designed by the famous sculptor Parler. The church includes three choirs and several towers on its western side. Each tower is 70 meters high, while the length and width of the church are 52 and 28 meters respectively.

Inside, the sanctuary is adorned with nineteen altars, a Gothic pulpit from the 15th century, a pewter baptistery from 1414 with reliefs of the apostles, a stone baldachin from 1493, fourteen large canvases by Čermák, and a Gothic fresco featuring the face of St. Jerome.
