About

The Odessa funicular, which traces its origins back to the 1920s, was one of the first to be built in the territory of the Russian Empire. It was closed to the public for a long time, but at the end of the last century, a decision was made to revive this famous landmark. The purpose of this structure is to lift people who, for one reason or another, are not able to climb the majestic Potemkin Stairs. The city's residents jokingly refer to it as another form of urban transport.
