Lanzheron is the name of the seaside part of Odessa. This unusual name was given to the locale due to the presence of the former mayor and Governor-General of Odessa, A.F. Lanzheron's mansion, who managed the coastal city from 1815 to 1822. Today, only an arch built a year before the count's death in 1830 remains from this mansion. This local architectural monument, which decorates the entrance to the beach, was reconstructed in 2013.

In the past, the territory of Lanzheron was strolled by the outstanding Russian poet A.S. Pushkin. This area has been depicted in many of his poetic works.

Now, the entrance to Lanzheron beach is open to all visitors, but some services require an additional fee, such as boat rentals, umbrella rentals, lounge chairs, and shower cabins. For the safety of visitors, a police station and a medical center are located along the beachfront.

Не часто бываю в Одессе, но если удается попасть сюда, обязательно посещаю пляж Ланжерон. Могу с уверенностью сказать, что это одно из самых лучших мест города. Пляж достаточно чистый и благоустроенный. Правда, я бывал здесь лишь в конце пляжного сезона, когда туристов было немного. На пляже можно кормить чаек, любоваться кораблями, стоящими на якоре, и дышать морским бризом.
