About

The Cathedral of St. Paul of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine stands as a striking example of Romanesque Revival architecture in Odessa. Designed by George Torricelli and Hermann-Karl Scheurembrandt, it first opened its doors on October 9, 1827. With an impressive average Google rating of 4.7, this cathedral captivates visitors with its blend of historical elegance and cultural richness.

Families will find this attraction welcoming, as it is suitable for children. The church becomes particularly enchanting in the evening when illuminated, creating a picturesque view that invites photography from the street. Twice daily, the resonant sound of bells fills the air, chiming at noon and again at 6 PM.

Perhaps most captivating is the cathedral's organ, which hosts concerts that have been described as mystical, offering a unique auditory experience within the historic walls. This extraordinary Lutheran church, part of Odessa's central landscape, continues to fascinate both locals and tourists with its architectural beauty and cultural offerings.
