La chiesa del Sacro Cuore si trova in Plaza de San Ignacio de Loyola, nel centro storico di Malaga , in Spagna . Si tratta di un'opera neogotica realizzata nel 1920, secondo il progetto elaborato nel gennaio 1907 dall'architetto Fernando Guerrero Strachan , su commissione dei Gesuiti . Ha una pianta basilicale, divisa in tre navate e coperta da una volta a crociera. Di particolare interesse è il transetto, a pianta ottagonale con volta a stella. Il coro si trova ai piedi della navata centrale, più alta e larga delle navate laterali. Lì si trova la tomba del Beato Tiburcio Arnaiz . La piazza in cui si trova si trova a ovest di Calle Compañía , vicino al Palazzo Villalón , sede del Museo Carmen Thyssen . La chiesa fu la sede dell'Arciconfraternita dei Dolori di San Giovanni durante il periodo in cui la sua sede originaria, la Chiesa di San Giovanni , fu restaurata. Attualmente, dopo la chiusura del Tabernacolo , vi ricevono il culto i membri della Confraternita della Clemenza . Al suo interno è possibile ammirare l'opera pittorica di Apolo Párkinson Molinari , autore delle vetrate in stile gotico che circondano la chiesa.

Un tesoro Malagueño que puede pasar desapercibida por los visitantes de la Ciudad e incluso por sus habitantes por lo singular de su ubicación, Situada en la Plaza San Ignacio de Loyola en la Calle Compañía cerca del Palacio de Villalón ( El Museo Carmen Thyssen ) es el único ejemplo de arquitectura Neogótica de la Ciudad de Málaga. Es de los pocos templos que en verano cuenta con climatización lo cual hace enormemente agradable la visita. Su iluminación y luminosidad natural interior no deja indiferente a nadie, siendo uno de los templos más bellamente iluminados de España. El acceso en silla de Ruedas es sobresaliente. Y el personal que oficia en el centro es maravilloso, sus celebraciones litúrgicas son bastante concurridas lo cual a día de hoy es un bello detalle que encontrarte.
