Lisbon

Lisbon has many faces: the medieval aesthetics of Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the romance of Torre de Belém, the bold projects of the Web Summit, electronic music festivals, the tragic melodies of fado, the carefree spring Carnival. During your visit to the capital of Portugal, you will manage to see the Elevador de Santa Justa; try Vinho Verde and Pastel de Nata; and have a photo shoot against the backdrop of azulejo tiles.

Visit the historic center of Lisbon: Praça do Comércio, the main city cathedral, Chafariz d'El-Rei, Museu do Fado, and the Moorish castle from the 11th century. Relax at a café on Pink Street. Go shopping on Avenida da Liberdade. Unwind in the Botanical Garden or Eduardo VII Park. A sightseeing route on a historic tram starts at Praça Martim Moniz. From the Cais do Sodré dock, take a river ferry to Cacilhas or Montejo.

Visit the most prestigious area of the capital, Parque das Nações, with its cable car, concert hall, exhibition center, and aquarium. Next to the Vasco da Gama Bridge, ascend to the Torre viewpoint, which stands 145 meters tall.

Enjoy the evening views of Lisbon from a river cruise boat or the left bank of the Tagus River. Near the statue of Santuário de Cristo Rei, a walking area with observation platforms has been created. If you visit Portugal's capital for a few days, head to the beaches of Cascais, Costa da Caparica, and Tróia. Visit Cabo da Roca and the royal palace complex in Sintra.
