About

Beginning its history in 1879, the National Museum has augmented its "treasures" primarily thanks to citizens and their donations. Its collection was enriched with gifts from famous artists and connoisseur-patrons. Paintings and household items, rare coins, and barely preserved ancient documents - the "assortment" grew endlessly and now counts more than 780,000 diverse items. Various movements intertwined in the artworks, and the museum has shown itself to be a genuine proof of the unity of ages. An entire labyrinth of 21 active departments and 11 galleries will fully "satisfy" your appreciation for the magnificence of the exhibits and allow you to value the treasures of humanity.

Groot vierkant gebouw met communistische uitstraling, hal oogt erg donker. Tweede verdieping met poolse schilderkunst was erg mooi, de moeite waard om te bekijken.
