About

The St. Panteleimon Cathedral in Feofaniya - the main church of the St. Panteleimon Monastery, located in the suburbs of Kyiv. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century, designed by architect E.F. Ermakov. In 1920, with the establishment of Soviet power, the cathedral was closed. Later, during the Great Patriotic War, it was severely damaged by enemy shellings. Only in 1990 was the semi-ruined building transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Over the following eight years, the reconstruction of the cathedral's interior and exterior walls took place. At the same time, the cathedral came under the patronage of the Pokrovsky Convent with the aim of establishing a hermitage.
