Initially, it was intended merely as a temporary shelter for the springs and their visitors during bad weather. This function was served by the colonnade for just over a hundred years, after which it was reconstructed and became one of the main attractions of the city. The Swiss style made the building visually lighter and more airy. The beautiful lace-like facade decoration, along with the relief adorning it, always catches the attention of passing tourists.
