Císařské lázně in Karlovy Vary
About
Nestled high above the picturesque city of Karlovy Vary, the Císařské lázně - Lázně I remains one of the city's most cherished attractions since its opening in 1895. Designed by renowned architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, this historical spa complex, also known as Imperial Baths or Kaiser Bad, boasts over a hundred baths, offering a rejuvenating experience for visitors of all ages.
One of the standout features of the spa is its unique conveyor system, which efficiently transports hot mineral water and peat throughout the facility. Recently restored to highlight its rich history, plans are underway to further restore the imperial bathroom, enhancing its already impressive charm.
Now under the property of the Czech Government, there are considerations to transform this iconic site into a cultural center. It already features a stunning atrium that serves as a concert hall, which can also be easily converted into a dance hall for various events.
Visitors can enjoy a guided tour, which lasts approximately 45 minutes but can extend up to 70 minutes for those wanting a deeper dive into its history and features. The tours are conducted by informed and friendly staff, adding to the overall rich experience.
For a bite to eat, the spa garners a commendable 4 out of 5 stars for its selection of healthy food choices. Easy access to the site is facilitated by an underground shaft or a leisurely 15-minute walk, allowing guests to take in the breathtaking scenic views of the city below.
Overall, Císařské lázně - Lázně I is beautifully well-maintained, offering a blend of relaxation, history, and culture in an exquisitely natural setting.

Hallo. :)

V císařských lázních jsme absolvovali prohlídku císařské koupelny i celých lázní. Obě prohlídky vřele doporučujeme, během celkové se dozvíte zejména o historii a současnosti lázní, během prohlídky koupelny se budete kochat hlavně luxusem. Vyzdvihnout si zaslouží zejména průvodce Radek, jehož vyprávění o historii a současnosti lázní bylo velmi milé a poutavé. Ale i ostatní členky průvodcovského personálu, které jsme potkali byly velmi milé a vstřícné. Vřele doporučujeme, rozhodně stojí za návštěvu.
