About

Two spires ascending to the sky, like a pair of hands frozen in prayer, which the prayerful has lifted above himself - the Church of St. Nicholas has stood as an unbreakable and eternal wall on the River Spree since the beginning of the 1200 year. Here, the music of three organs and choral singing can be heard daily - it seems that the voice of prayer will never cease, flowing in a united stream, a column of light soaring into the heavens. Children genuinely believe in the Saint, hence, following traditions, they leave their boots polished to a blinding shine at the door - every December, they find gifts and treats there. Inside the church, one can encounter a bronze baptismal font and a large pulpit, fashioned in the Baroque style. The Last Supper adorns the altar, and the kind and wise face of Saint Nicholas looks on gently, as if awaiting your heartfelt plea.
