About

Formerly known as the Museum of Fine Arts, and now the National Museum, this place boasts one of the largest collections in Warsaw. It includes around 800 thousand artifacts (comprising coins, sculptures, paintings) from Ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, and the Roman Empire. The undying "Madonna with Child" by Botticelli is meticulously preserved and housed right here. A great number of artworks were lost during wartime, but now the majority are being returned home, thus acquiring an inestimable value.
