About

One of the remaining "alive" devices for viewing three-dimensional shots or the photoplasticon is located in Warsaw. Operating continuously since the beginning of the 20th century, the device harbors almost 3,000 photographs of various places and corners across the globe. Japan, the Suez Canal, the distant and inaccessible West - in the pre-war era, the device was a unique opportunity to get information about unreachable parts of the world. The fascinating shows were accompanied by smuggled jazz melodies from records, and local hipsters made it their meeting spot. In 2008, the Warsaw Uprising Museum took the photoplasticon under its wing, solidifying its right to be called one of the capital's unique phenomena.

Darmowe wejścia w czwartki, w pozostałe dni bilet 10 PLN (chyba). Wizyta trwa max. 30 minut ale warta tych kilku chwil. Zdjęcia 3D przedstawione techniką pamiętającą naszych pradziadków. Trafiłem na ekspozycję czasową związaną z Powstaniem Warszawskim. Polecam.
