About

Ringstrasse Street, also known as the Ring, is one of the largest in Vienna. It serves as a unique border to the historical part of the city. During the Middle Ages, this area was home to fortress walls. It was only in 1850, due to the significant expansion of the city's territory, that a decision was made to demolish the wall, leaving a ring road in its place. However, it wasn't until seven years later that Franz Joseph I issued a decree ordering construction. Today, the street is a very beautiful part of the city, boasting a multitude of majestic and renowned buildings.
