La Gloriette di Schönbrunn è uno dei punti panoramici più affascinanti di Vienna e merita senz’altro una visita. Per raggiungerla, bisogna affrontare una breve ma ripida salita sulla collina all'interno del parco del Castello di Schönbrunn. La camminata, seppur un po’ faticosa, è ampiamente ripagata. Da qui si gode una vista spettacolare sui giardini e sulla città di Vienna, La Gloriette fu voluta dall'imperatrice Maria Teresa d'Austria nel 1775, dopo la morte del marito Francesco I Stefano. L’intento era quello di celebrare la gloria della monarchia asburgicica. Rappresenta un elegante esempio di architettura neoclassica.Oggi ospita anche una caffetteria e offre un luogo perfetto per una pausa romantica. La salita sulla terrazza dell' edificio è a pagamento.
