Beautiful location and views. Quiet when we went, but good vibe. Seemed like a lot of locals here.

This was another great pit stop right before going to a concert at the Chase Center.

It was a sunny Saturday and we decided to seek out a spot for an afternoon lunch with a water view. We decided on Mission Rock and were happy to find parking pretty easily and got seated upstairs. So far so good. My friend tried a mimosa made with grapefruit juice while I stuck with water. We ordered the ceviche to share. I had the mussels and fries and my friend had a burger with fries. The mimosa was only average as it was difficult to discern the flavors of the grapefruit juice or the bubbly, which I believe was Prosecco. The ceviche was sadly served with either fried flour tortillas or wonton strips. They were so stale it was hard to tell. The ceviche itself lacked citrus and could’ve used a bit more salt. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to get the attention of the server to ask for more lime. Inexplicably, they serve the mussels and fries in the same dish. So my request for crispy fries was overwritten by the fact that they were soaking in the mussel cooking sauce. The mussels themselves were OK although I had to discard three or four. The burger looked really delicious, but my eating partner was underwhelmed with the flavor of the overcooked beef and the size of the patty. The fries were served in a cone shaped dish and were nestled in a sheet of paper. We both laughed when we realized that the paper was an old menu that had been cut up. Not very appetizing to think that the food you are eating has been sitting on an old menu that who knows how many people have touched.
