About

The film set village of Cinevilla, located near Slampe, only sounds like a bustling, lively city on paper. In reality, it consists of professional outdoor sets created for the shooting of the Latvian movie "Defenders of Riga".

Cinevilla is divided into two sections - the "Big" city and the "Provincial" city. Each possesses its own unique buildings, ranging from pharmacies, cigar bars, and trendy lingerie shops, to a beer hall and scarce colonial goods shipped from afar. Tourists can join a costume tour, dressing up as English sailors, German officers, or simple Austrian soldiers. Additionally, anyone can make their own film, take a memorable photo "in character," and visit a military history or postal museum.
