High Castle is the name of a beautiful green park spanning 36 hectares, located in the central part of Lviv. Here, one can stroll along shady paths, listen to the birds sing, and find peace of mind. The main attraction is the Castle Hill - an artificial mound built in 1900 by the Polish community as a symbol of the 300th anniversary of the Union of Lublin. From the observation deck, the city reveals its beauty in full: the picturesque view attracts both residents and visitors of the ancient city.

The name of the hill comes from the city's defensive stronghold - High Castle, which resembled an elevation due to its elongated shape. It was constructed by the Galicia-Volhynia prince Lev and stood here from the 13th to the 19th century. Unfortunately, now one can only see a single fragment of the stone wall with embrasures.

С Высокого Замка открывается отличный вид на Львов, сходить однозначно стоит. Подъем начинается в 10 минутах от Оперного Театра и длится (в среднем) 20 минут, хотя можно добежать и быстрее :) По дороге можно купить маленькие сувениры.
