The church's origins date back to the time of King Casimir the Great, who initiated its construction as part of his foundation for the newly chartered city of Kazimierz. Among its unique features, you'll find the mystical painting of the Marriage of Saint Catherine and the Mannerist tomb monument of Wawrzyniec Spytek Jordan and his family.

Piękny gotycki kościół że wspaniały M barokowym ołtarzem głównym, ciekawy jest nagrobek kasztelana krakowskiego zwanego Wawrzyniec Spytek Jordan, na ścianie w kościele znajduje się także figura św Rity, bardzo. ładne są krużganki klasztoru augustianów, który przylega do kościoła, znajdują się tam cenne freski na ścianach.
