About

The Tempel Synagogue, located in the historic Kazimierz district of Krakow on Miodowa Street, is a stunning example of Moorish Revival architecture. Opened in 1862, this over 150-year-old synagogue stands out with its Moorish-style exterior and a lavish, extravagant interior. It holds not just architectural significance but also historical importance, having survived the German occupation during World War Two.

Inside, the synagogue features unique stained glass windows with intricate motifs that add to its charm. Known for its excellent acoustics, it regularly hosts concerts and cultural festivals, drawing both locals and tourists. Visitors can explore this beautifully preserved place with an entrance fee of 10 PLN (2 EUR), which goes towards its upkeep and renovations. With an average Google rating of 4.3, the Tempel Synagogue remains one of the oldest and most cherished synagogues in Krakow, serving as both a place of worship and a cultural attraction.
