The Golden Gate is one of the few sights that have survived to our times since its construction. In ancient times, it served as the main entrance to the city, combining the functions of both a triumphal arch and a fortress gate tower, above which the Church of the Annunciation was quite symbolically situated. By the middle of the last century, the condition of this monument began to cause concern, and after some time, the idea emerged to enclose what remained with a special pavilion. This project was realized, allowing the architectural monument to be preserved and offering residents and visitors of the city the chance to see the Golden Gate as it once existed. Today, in the described pavilion, one can view the preserved elements of the fortress defenses, as well as take a bird's-eye view of modern Kyiv.

«Золотые ворота» - музей-памятник, расположенный практически в центре города. Здесь можно прикоснуться к настоящим древним камням, из которых были возведены ворота. Зайдя внутрь, можно подняться на три высоты. С террас, выходящих на две стороны, открывается завораживающий вид. Вокруг много красивых строений, которые с земли, как следует и не рассмотришь, например, особняк со шпилем или дом Подгорского.
