The location chosen for the creation of the "Mamaeva Sloboda" museum was a historic site where the source of the Lybed River is found. Several centuries ago, this area was part of the lands of the Mikhailovsky Zlatoverkhy Monastery. Later, the project organizers decided to recreate the nature and daily life of that time, resulting in the creation of an arboretum and its centerpiece, an architectural ensemble. Among the buildings, cherry trees grow; each house is fenced with wattle, and at the center, a wooden Cossack Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin is erected. On the museum territory, visitors can not only admire the architecture of the Cossack era but also learn about the crafts of the time.

Давно, коли я був малим, мене водила сюди бабуся. Усе було дуже красиве, привітне та зелене. У ставках було багато риби, були коні та кролики. Зараз все не так як було, все виглядає доволі сумно та занедбано.

Відвідали цей парк. Дуже шкода бачити його в такому стані. Все занедбане і закинуте. У неділю майже нікого не було. Потрапити можна придбавши квиток в кафе поблизу. Бармен відчиняє калитку ключем кожному відвідувачу індивідуально. 100 грн за 10 хвилин прогулянки місцем, що колись надихало.
