About

The waterfront of Barcelona stretches for almost five kilometers along the Mediterranean Sea. Locals proudly call it an open-air gallery for its numerous sculptures and colorful characters, such as the illegal African street vendors.

The origins of the promenade can be found at the street of Las Ramblas, where the famous monument to Christopher Columbus stands tall. Not far from this spot, you can see a drawbridge and a pedestrian dam with its own yacht club, which is still in operation today. In addition to dozens of cafes and restaurants for tourists, this area also boasts the largest Aquarium in Europe and a Maritime Museum.
