About

The Murat Pasha Mosque is an Ottoman heritage in Antalya, built in honor of a Turkish vizier. This costly project was completed by the end of the sixteenth century, astonishing not only the local residents but also the vizier himself with its beauty.

The mosque has a traditional decagonal shape with a high dome, topped by a crescent. The interior walls and facade of the building are decorated with numerous inscriptions that quote the wisdom of the Quran. The inscriptions are colored ribbons with exemplary calligraphy. Near the marble platform, there is an altar made of colored stone, over which three large domes rise.
