Впечатлающая статуя первого австрийского императора Франца I. Поскольку он был также последним императором Священной Римской империи германской нации, то тут изображен классическим римским императором, в тоге, окруженным аллегорическими фигурами Веры, Силы, Мира и Справедливости.

Monumentul Împăratului Franz I domină cu măreție curtea interioară a Hofburgului din Viena. Realizat din bronz, împăratul este înfățișat în stil clasic, purtând o togă și o coroană de lauri, cu brațul ridicat într-un gest de binecuvântare. Statuia se înalță pe un piedestal masiv, împodobit cu reliefuri ce reprezintă artele, știința și comerțul. La baza monumentului, patru figuri alegorice simbolizează virtuțile: Credința, Pacea, Tăria și Justiția. Întreg ansamblul se impune prin echilibrul formelor și prin armonia cu arhitectura sobră a palatului care îl înconjoară.
