I would hesitate to describe this as omakase. It felt more like pre fixe. Previous experiences were intimate, an evening with the chef to learn about the fish, why the piece was made the way it was, handmade in front of you with lots of unique innovations, and an ask for feedback at the end. While there were several very tasty pieces with cool ideas, a lot of the fish and flavor felt repeated with not nearly as much creativity as I've come to expect. It also felt...frenzied. Rushed. No sooner had one plate been finished then it was whisked away to be immediately replaced by the next. There wasn't breathing room, time to savor and watch the chef. The fish quality and flavor was good, but the experience was not what I was hoping for.

I cannot recommend enough how great of an experience this was. Their omakase was innovative, delicious, and maintained the perfect balance of speed / anticipation for dishes. This is a MUST try for the area and honestly might have ruined 99% of sushi for me after I left.
