Good service. I'm on a hunt for a good value Mongolian beef over rice in Chinatown, and I think G & Y is one of my top right now in terms of taste, price and portions. I know this is not their speciality dish but it's quite tasty compared to others along this street.

This is a fantastic small Chinese restaurant with great food and prices, among the very best in San Francisco. I've eaten here a half a dozen times and brought friends who grew up in China. It's not a bakery or even a cafe: it's a small restaurant. Everything I've tried has been spectacular: juk, crispy noodles, ox tail, and pork chops. While the food is Hong Kong style, the food here is much better than the average at small restaurants in HK. Avoid the noon rush and lines. If you come slightly off peak, there should be no wait for a table.
