About

Anyone barely stepping onto Residenzplatz is greeted by a majestic marble fountain, sending sparkling splashes of water and cooling the zeal of countless tourists. It's here that, in July and August every year, thousands of locals and city guests gather to enjoy watching their favorite movies in an open-air cinema. The square witnesses noisy city festivities, fireworks-lit celebrations, and music concerts attended by a diverse crowd, yet everyone feels right at home. Besides its cultural life, Residenzplatz is known for a multitude of souvenir shops where one can buy a memorable trinket, as well as a scattering of cafes, shops, and restaurants.

The clock show definitely worth it! And the square itself is impressive.

Hier stehen aktuell 5 Großskulpturen in Form von schwarzen Frauenköpfen, die still miteinander kommunizieren. Sehr schöne und beindruckende Installation.
