About

The Toy Museum was opened in 1989 in Prague, under the creative inspiration of the famous Czech film director I. Steiger. It is truly an interesting and captivating place for both children and adults.

The museum structure consists of two floors and eleven exhibition halls. Among the displayed exhibits, one's gaze can encounter not only the usual toys like dolls, teddy bears, and cars but also specimens made by Native Americans from bread about 2,000 years ago.

Also of great interest to visitors are stone, wooden toys, miniature doll houses with interior and furniture decorations, tiny-sized dishes, and much, much more. One of the most valuable exhibits in the museum is an antique porcelain doll, 1.2 meters tall.

A museum of old toys and games located in the Prague Castle complex. The idea that you have to climb about 100 steps to enter the museum is really not successful in my opinion and by default significantly reduces the number of potential visitors. The place is not big at all and it takes less than an hour to see everything. The price is not that cheap. It is worth visiting on a rainy day.

Včera jsme navštívili muzeum a jsem moc rád. Vrátili jsme se v čase, do dětských let. Krásné hračky, se kterými jsme si všichni jako děti hrávali. Určitě se vrátíme i s dětmi. Celou výstavu umocňuje krásný prostor. Děkujeme, za krásný zážitek. VV
