The National Museum of Czechia is a massive neo-Renaissance building, majestically located on Wenceslas Square in the central part of the Czech capital, making it quite easy to find. The construction period of the main building, designed by the famous Czech architect J. Schulz, was 1885-1890.
The museum's operation has two notable features: the first is the possibility of its free admission every first Monday of the month. The second feature is that it is closed every Tuesday.
The museum's exhibition is arranged to show visitors the most interesting events that have occurred throughout the years of Czechia's existence as a state. For example, one of the halls displays a collection of real meteorites that have fallen to the country at different times. Another part of the exhibition holds a vast collection of 19th and 20th-century medals.
The little visitors of the Czech National Museum will undoubtedly enjoy the collection of zoological exhibits. Here you can see both prehistoric creatures and more recent specimens of terrestrial and aquatic fauna.
Wheelchair accessible, Suitable for children
