decided to try this family-run dinner without much explanation, simply was looking for something local and authentic portuguese. was greeted by an elderly lady with little english but she was very friendly. i sat and waited for a bit but since i was not in a rush so it was ok. the vibe was as if i was at someone dinning room with the TV on. later a man came and said to me today’s menu was “frango” which was chicken and i said sure! the lunch menu included a piece of bread, soup and main. the soup was a nice potato cabbage soup. the fried chicken was delicious, not greasy and well seasoned. especially enjoyed the rice because it was cooked with chicken broth so it had a slight flavor. overall it was a satisfying meal. by noon, this place was packed with people so i think this is a popular dinner among the locals. if you are looking for a local dinning experience, give this place a try. they serve casual home cooking style food so manage your expectation before coming.

Highlight of our Porto trip. Sardines were perfect, soup was delicious, hake was scrumptious. Service was perfect.
