About

The Sabatini Gardens are located directly opposite the northern part of the Royal Palace and are an integral part of the palace complex. Surprisingly, not long ago, the site of these luxurious verdant gardens was occupied by stables, whose aromas troubled generations of city dwellers.

The gardens are designed in a contemporary neoclassical style, surrounded by hedges, marble monuments, fountains, and artificial ponds. The entire area of the gardens is planted with various species of trees, which provide soothing shade over the winding paths and ornate benches for visitors, even in hot weather. The Sabatini Gardens cover a vast area of two and a half hectares and are named after a famous Spanish architect who once designed the "beloved" stables.
