We visited for lunch and were really impressed right from the start. The restaurant was spotless, the atmosphere warm, and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming – they genuinely made us feel at ease. The food, however, didn’t live up to the same standard. The steak was on the tough side, and the lamb shank was dry and difficult to enjoy. It was also a shame that mash wasn’t available with the lamb, as new potatoes didn’t really suit the dish (though that’s a small detail). That said, the service and setting alone would bring me back to give it another try. If the food matches the standard of the staff next time, this place could easily be a 5★ spot.

We came for the Sunday roast with my family. Great food, fantastic ambience. The service was brilliant. Met with the owner Barry who was very welcoming and courteous. A must visit in Islington.
