A bit underwhelmed? The food was really lovely, everything had great flavour. It would’ve been nice perhaps to be able to order sauces/chutneys etc on the side as some of the starters can get a little dry. Curries and roti were gorgeous Atmosphere was very underwhelming, there’s not a single soft furnishing in that room so the noise is ridiculous. We couldn’t hear each other, the waiter couldn’t hear us, we couldn’t hear her. We were right underneath the speaker and couldn’t even tell what song was playing because the noise drowned out the words. Long benches with no cushions must be so uncomfortable to sit on. Two tables are right next to the door for the women’s toilet so they have people pushing past them the whole time. We were right by the server’s station so had her hovering over us the whole time (not her fault obviously - it’s where she needs to stand) but then also wasn’t attentive or checking if we needed anything. That also meant waiters kept catching our table/chair on the way out with the food. Mains were also brought out extremely quickly after starters… at a sit down restaurant you’d expect a good 15/20 minutes after finishing starters to pace it out. For the price the experience itself should be a little nicer.
