🚇 Elephant & Castle 🍺 £4.30 Amstel ❤️ An East Street Market pub with a very local feel. . The Good Intent is a market pub situated in the middle of East Street Market. I visited here on a Saturday afternoon and the market was packed with shoppers and bargain hunters alike. Even though the market was busy the pub was fairly quiet which was surprising. This is a locals pub and the clientele was older generation, the atmosphere was calm and laid back with Gold radio playing in the background. This is a three room pub with an island bar linking all three rooms together. The decor here is mixed and traditional, there are some nice features here being the wood panelling, fire place and the back bar on the left looks like it has had a recent face lift. I was served by a nice member of staff who was welcoming and friendly, my pint was decent and at just over four quid was great value. . The Good Intent is a solid old school locals pub in a great community setting.
