Era para ter sido uma avaliação de 5 estrelas se a falta de consistência não tivesse ocorrido entre 2 visitas num curto espaço de 5 dias... Num sábado, tudo foi perfeito, desde o atendimento até à qualidade e originalidade dos pratos. A salada de tomate com figos e queijo da Ilha, as iscas de tamboril e o crumble de requeijão estiveram divinais. Tanto assim foi que regressámos na 5a feira com amigos para partilhar uma nova e fantástica experiência... Começou muito mal, com um prato de caracóis, escassos, pouco saborosos e de fraca qualidade. 8€ mais mal empregues! A seguir, a mesma salada e as mesmas iscas nada tiveram a ver com primeira vez, uma vulgar salada de tomate (só se aproveitava a inegável qualidade do fruto) com míseras 2 ou 3 lascas de figo e a mesma pouca quantidade de queijo. As iscas não passaram de uma pequena amostra (2 pequenos pedaços de fígado, quase metade da primeira porção) e sem aquele molho que delicioso que nos fez aqui voltar e recomendar sem hesitações esta taberna. Apenas a mousse de chocolate esteve à altura... Ficámos sinceramente desiludidos e sem vontade alguma de repetir a visita! Nota: a pontuação reflecte a média das 2 visitas. A segunda foi mesmo para esquecer...

Went here with my wife on a Monday afternoon. Excellent service, musical vibes and recommendations from Daniel. Food was awesome - we had oysters, fish cakes, prawns in chili sauce and deep fried sardines along with some excellent sour dough bread. Everything was perfect. Enjoyed the house wines and had some tastes of some more luxurious wines on their wine card. All in all our best experience in Portugal so far, and I am sure we will head back during the week.
