We don’t speak Portuguese, the warm and friendly staff brought out actual dishes from the kitchen to explain the menu to us. The lunch menu offers unbeatable value for money—you wouldn't be able to find a better deal for the same price in Lisbon. A lovely dining experience. Many thanks!

We saw a paper sign in the window that was all in Portuguese (which neither of us could read) and looked inside and saw all locals eating lunch. Someone coming out of the place translated it (a daily mixed special/best in the city). We took the plunge and were about the only people who were speaking English. This seemed like a good sign. We each had soup and shared the mixed special. It was great and we were very full. Do not expect anything fancy, but you can expect authentic Portuguese country food, prepared well at a price that had us both wondering if they actually charged us for all that we had ordered.
