Nice host, good food and wine pairing recommendations. Had sardines’ toast, codfish and almond cake, paired with Anselmo Mendes green wine and Kopke white port.

We had such a memorable meal here during our last trip to Lisbon in December that we decided to go there again for my birthday dinner when back in town in August. Everything is exceptionally fresh and tasty. Even something as simple as the bread and butter!! Since our party of 3 wasn't terribly hungry, we decided to share a few appetizers instead of everyone getting their own main course. We had the aforementioned bread with butter, grilled shrimp, sardines, mussels, and the rabbit (and a bottle of delicious Portuguese wine, of course), plus the almond cake and a pot of chocolate mousse - and we left, feeling fat and happy, as the servings are quite generous. The owner, Fatima, is always very welcoming and warm, and makes fantastic suggestions about what to order. It's a small place in a very old building, with a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend for both a relaxing bite after a day of sightseeing as well as a special occasion! Thank you, Fatima! See you next time!
