What an incredible 3-hour event! The evening began with a spread of delicious appetizers and seamlessly flowed between several heartfelt Fado performances and multiple courses of food. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and by the end of the night, we were absolutely stuffed (in the best way). What really set this experience apart from other shows I’ve attended—whether Fado, Flamenco, or otherwise—was the energy and authenticity of the performers. This wasn’t a scripted or overly polished production. Instead, the musicians truly seemed to enjoy themselves and were clearly passionate about sharing their love of this art form. At our performance, we heard three very different singers, each bringing something special to the stage. All were wonderful in their own right. If I had to note one downside, it would be the seating—three hours on a hard bench made things a bit uncomfortable by the end. That said, it’s a small price to pay for such an unforgettable night. Kudos to everyone involved. If you’re in Lisbon, definitely add this to your must-do list!
