The Nikolaevsky Cathedral, also known as the House of Organ Music, is yet another equally attractive landmark of Kyiv. The cathedral harmoniously blends two closely related architectural styles - Gothic and Neo-Gothic, which definitely adds an element of mystery and mystique to the monument. The cathedral is located in the city center, specifically on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street. There is a belief that its prototype was none other than the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral. Indeed, if one pays attention to the architecture and elements, many similarities can be noticed. A tower with a sharp spire is guarded by griffins, and salamanders have remained on the entrance arches for centuries, and this is no accident - each animal has its own significance. It got its second name - "House of Organ Music," in 1978, which is also when the history of the organ housed within the cathedral's walls began. It was made by the Rieger-Kloss company in a style matching the cathedral and has 3846 pipes of various diameters and about 55 stops!

Николаевский костел поражает с первого взгляда своей архитектурой и особой величественностью. Строение выполнено в типичном готическом стиле, столь характерном для католических церквей. Правда, на мой взгляд, костел нуждается в основательном ремонте. Тем не менее, мне нравится приходить сюда не только из-за архитектуры, но и ради возможности побывать на восхитительных концертах органной музыки.

Костел Святого Николая относится к красивейшим строениям украинской столицы. Он построен в готическом стиле, чуть более века назад. Внутри Николаевского костела чудесная акустика, потому неудивительно, что в 70-х годах его реконструировали в дом органной музыки. По четвергам проходят мессы на латыни, а в вечернее время дают концерты камерной и органной музыки. Рекомендую к посещению!
