However, in the mid-18th century, students from the Wessobrunn School of Art added elements of the then fashionable Baroque style to the façade.

Today, the Helbling House, which still bears the name of a 19th-century café owner, has retained the Gothic arched system of the first floor, but the rest is densely adorned with intricate stucco work and frescoes.
