Emerging closer to the middle of the 13th century, the Franciscan Church was named in honor of the well-known monastic order. The architectural design hints at the outline of a Greek cross. The neo-Gothic façade invites you inside, where most of the decoration is the work of Stanisław Wyspiański, a renowned Polish artist. The church's windows, dedicated to the three elements: air, water, and fire, became its ornamentation. However, the most famous image is the one above the choir, featuring God the Father at the creation of the world. Having suffered from fires, this place has transformed and presented itself in a renewed guise. By the way, to the south, the Franciscan monastery and seminary have moved closer to the church.
