Über

One of the few university buildings from Medieval Europe is Collegium Maius or the Great College. Inherited by the Jagiellonian University at the beginning of 1400, after a lengthy period of reconstructions, today this place serves as a unique museum of mysterious alchemy and the science of those years. Legend has it that here, the Polish folklore hero Pan Twardowski, the Slavic Faust, was educated and searched for the "philosopher's stone". In its library, there is a record dated 1491 stating, "Nicolaus, son of Nicolaus of Toruń, has paid in full". This refers to none other than Nicolaus Copernicus, who proved the Earth's rotation around the Sun. The severe building resembles neo-Gothic architecture, adorned with ancient arcades and a garden in its courtyard. The ceiling inside the building makes a huge impression, decorated with portraits of kings, famous Polish men, and, of course, rectors of the university itself. Today, the Collegium is equipped with a convenient conference hall, a souvenir shop, and is even ready to delight tourists with its own café.

Нельзя побывать в Кракове и не посетить Коллегиум Майус. Это ведь легендарное место! Именно здесь учился Коперник – светила науки. Вы можете осмотреть библиотеку, зал заседаний. Я бы рекомендовала в первую очередь отправиться в Профессорский дворик, где цветут гортензии и представлены научные экспонаты. Кстати, в музейном дворике есть уютное кафе. Можно заказать чашку вкуснейшего кофе и посидеть полчасика, наслаждаясь открывающимися видом на Ягеллонский двор.

Bardzo ciekawe i fajne muzeum Uniwersytety Jagiellońskiego. Tak naprawdę to jeden budynek do zwiedzania, ale w środku z dużą ilością rożnych zbiorów. Są elementy wystroju komnat domowych w tym m.in. meble, ale też przedmioty związane z historią uczelni m.in. insygnia rektorów. Są też różne dokumenty, książki ale też kaflowe piece. W kilku salach znajdują się też pamiątki poświęcone Mikołajowi Kopernikowi, który w tych gmachach studiował o czym informuje pamiątkowa tablica. No i na sam koniec zwiedzania muzeum wchodzi się to reprezentatywnej sali z portretami rektorów uniwersytetu, sali w której aktualnie odbywają się uroczyste obrony doktoratów i habilitacji. Sama sala robi ogromne wrażenie. Pomimo, że samo muzeum jest niewielkie w porównaniu z innymi krakowskimi muzeami, ale naprawdę warto je zobaczyć. Bardzo klimatyczny jest też dziedziniec wewnątrz budynków, na dole w jednym z nich znajduje się niewielka kawiarnia. W budynku muzeum oprócz biletów wstępu można też kupić różne pamiątki.
