Pierhead Building w Cardiff Bay to neogotycki gmach z czerwonej cegły, wzniesiony w 1897 roku jako nowa siedziba administracyjna Bute Dock Company, później znanej jako Cardiff Railway Company. Zaprojektowany przez architekta Williama Frame’a, ucznia Williama Burgesa, jest przykładem tzw. stylu „French Gothic Revival” z charakterystyczną wieżą zegarową, którą mieszkańcy nazywają „Baby Big Ben” lub „Big Ben of Wales”. Fasada bogato zdobiona terakotą z firmy Craven Dunnill przedstawia herby i motywy nawiązujące do historii portu oraz rozwoju przemysłu węglowego w południowej Walii. Po zamknięciu doków budynek pełnił różne funkcje publiczne, a po gruntownej renowacji w latach 90. stał się centrum wystaw i informacji Zgromadzenia Narodowego Walii. Dziś stanowi jeden z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych symboli Cardiff Bay — łącząc wiktoriańskie dziedzictwo z nowoczesnym otoczeniem Seneddu i Roald Dahl Plass.
