Elevators, cables, steel, and stone - the TV tower stretches up like a giant, reaching for the clouds with its spire. A massive seven-story sphere is lit by the sun, foretelling the appearance of a cross, or rather, its reflection. Locals whisper that it's the Pope's revenge for the disbelief and socialism of the former GDR. Sometimes, it's affectionately called St. Ulbricht's Church. A bird's eye view - that's the height tourists love, reaching the top in just a couple of dozen seconds, where the view opens up wide. Time marks its passage, and the romantic dinner is getting cold - one cannot miss the moment. Incidentally, the steel sphere rotates continuously, completing a full circle every hour.
