Aquest palau, construït entre el 1904 i el 1906, allotja avui l'Institut Ramon Llull, organisme públic creat amb l'objectiu de promoure a l'exterior els estudis de llengua i cultura catalanes, i la producció cultural catalana. L’edifici és tota una lliçó de creativitat i elegància de Puig i Cadafalch.

Es una joya arquitectónica, sobre todo la fachada de la Diagonal modernista del año 1906. Bellísima. La otra fachada también es bonita pero ya totalmente diferente, con unas pinturas florales, arabescas. Sólo se puede visitar los viernes.

Hemos hecho la visita guiada en un suspiro, es un buen ejemplo de la obra de Puig i Cadafalch, aunque se ve rápido porque se conservan pocos espacios de la regia vivienda de la familia Quadras, y la intalación de luz contemporánea en alguna estancia es bastante pegote. No obstante la visita merece la pena.
