Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona
About
The Museum of Contemporary Art opened in Barcelona in 1995. As expected for such museums, it's located in the central part of the city and occupies a uniquely designed building.
This giant white structure with clean lines and a fully glass front facade is familiar to anyone who has visited Catalonia at least once. The museum's exhibition is divided into three time periods and primarily features works by Spanish artists, from the mid-20th century to the present day. In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are also temporary "traveling" exhibits that change every 3-4 months.
