About

Karain Cave is located a 30-minute drive from the central part of Antalya. The cave is one of the largest archaeological sites in the world related to the ancient Paleolithic era.

Karain is also known for being the site where remains of the oldest human ancestor in all of Turkey were found, including labor tools, instruments, and everyday items that are over 25,000 years old. The cave is divided into several expansive halls with Latin alphabetical designations from A to G. Karain frequently hosts tourist groups who explore the hidden corners of this Turkish wonder together with a guide under the cool light of electric lamps.
